Scanning Polaroid PolaChrome with Epson Perfection 3200 Photo

Epson Perfection 3200 Photo
Sensor Type: CCD
Max effective resolution: ~900 megapixel (37000x27000 @ 3200 ppi)
Lens Specification: unknown
Focus Type: fixed
Scan software: GIMP with Epson Scan 3.04 on Windows 10 x64
Manufacturer documentation:Perfection 3200 specs

Due to its fixed focus the 'unfocus' adjustments recommended in Polaroid literature are not applicable.
Even higher resolution scans can only somewhat resolve the RGB color screen.
Since it is a flatbed scanner the slide can be angled.
This is a medium quality imaging device.

The Perfection Photo flatbed scanners are known for hit-or-miss fixed focus; the actual focus on this unit seems to be lower than the glass platen.
I have not attempted to use a replacement platen nor wet mounting the film.

Rotated to vertical. Light moire. Fair.
Angling slide made no difference to presence of moire.

The light moire lines of the street scene are visible when looking at the slide unilluminated.
It seems to be a combination of the film itself and the glass mount.
No other scanner reproduced these.
